Binder Review and Arrival Times
We require each time on site no later than 1 hour to start of game time. 90-minutes prior is recommended. If it's your first game, we need someone on site with your affidavit between two (2) hours and 90 minutes. This person does not need to be with the entire team or even the manager, just someone who can provide the binder for review.
All managers and coaches must be aware of all state rules and timelines for pre-games. Please review the State Rules here.
Required Pre-Game Needs
Prior to each game we will require a written (preferred typed) line up with player names, numbers, and positions (along with the Manager and Coaches names) for pre-game line up announcements. Timelines for pre-game I/O and announcements will be completed in accordance with the Connecticut State Rules (linked above). Whatever was done in your district does not apply here.
Directions & Address
Robert Tedford Memorial Park is located on Route 140 approximately 2 miles from the center of town. The address for your GPS is 45 Sadds Mill Road, Ellington, CT. If your GPS can't find this location, use the address for Rolling Meadows Golf Course (it's across the street).
Parking & Field Designation
Use the paved parking lot directly off of Sadds Mill Road. There is ample parking. Parking roadside on Route 140 is prohibited.
The two 60 foot baseball diamonds that will be used are the one with the lights and the one closest to the road. The fields are equipped with bullpens and batting cages.
Park Ammenties
A concession stand, bathrooms, and a shaded pavillion are near the playground the 90 foot diamond towards the rear of the park.
Batting Cages and bullpens are available for use. There are also several other auxilary fields with open space.
Seating
There are bleachers at both fields on the first and third base sides. You are also encouraged to bring your own chair. Pop up tents are encouraged for shade.
Game Changer Streaming
Cellular service is spotty at best at this location. If you want to stream your game on your Team's respective Game Changer, we suggest some sort of portable internet service (e.g., Starlink). Power will not be available for use, plan accordingly.
